The Alberton Gorge is a bit of a hidden treasure in Montana, but it's the best whitewater in the state.  Located just off I-90 about 45 minutes west of Missoula, or 2.5 hours east of Spokane, WA, it's a great way to break up your long distance drive. This exciting river trip is sure to be a hit for any adventure seeker.  Not only will you have a blast on the white water, but the scenery is spectacular as you float through a canyon of rose colored cliffs and rock formations.

                   Mid June - early July-- minimal white water, scenic floats

Enjoy a beautiful float down the river that Norman Maclean wrote about in "A River Runs Through It".  The Blackfoot offers majestic mountain views, forested banks, calm pools to swim in.
